You can enjoy and benefit from the intuitive technology we built, example: continuity and familiarity of your technology across all your smart devices, by creating a HuTouch Account.

When you use niiti products or services, we handle your data with care and you can trust us with your information. This Terms & Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This Privacy Policy applies to the websites, services, mobile and software applications we own or control (the “Sites”), including emails that are branded “HuTouch” or “niiti” and link to or reference this Privacy Policy.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. This Privacy Policy replaces and supersedes the last version of this Privacy Policy for all users (including for those users that registered prior to the Effective Date). If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not register or use any of the products, services or provide to us any of your personal information. By using any of our products and services, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.   • What information we collect and why we collect it.
  • How we use that information.
Information we collect and how we use them:

We collect information to provide better services to all of our users in a secured manner.

We collect and use information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us: Many of our services require you to sign up for HuTouch Account. When you do, we’ll ask for information, like your name, email address, to store with your account. You can provide your name and email address for the sign up process using your Facebook or Google accounts.
  • Information we get from your use of our services: We collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like send files, initiate continuity or resume between devices that have a valid login on HuTouch. This information includes:
    • Identity:

      You may use Facebook or Google accounts to sign up for HuTouch account. Through the login process we retrieve you name and email address from Facebook or Google accounts to help recognize you as a user of HuTouch.

    • Photos/Media/Files:

      When you share your files, photos, media using HuTouch, we may access your USB or local device storage for media and data files to allow you to view, watch, initiate continuity and resume on your smart devices. The access to your local device storage is under your control, only files that you would like to initiate continuity through HuTouch will be accessed by our products or services. We do not delete or modify the data files on your USB or local device storage.

    • Google Accounts:

      When you login or connect your Google account with HuTouch, in order to provide you a unified user experience around google products across all your smart devices, we connect to your Google accounts on Google Calendar, Google Classroom and Google Drive. This is done only if and when you give us permissions to access these different accounts you use on Google.

      • Google Calendar:

        • HuTouch uses the Google Calendar to find out an event or Google meet call for the user at a specific time or when a user locks the device or the device renders itself inactive while the user is on the call.

        • The event has to be on the user’s google calendar for HuTouch to find and the calendar has to be associated to the google account a user used to connect with HuTouch.

        • HuTouch uses Google Calendar to retrieve a Join Now link for a user’s active google meet call.

        • The event has to be on the user’s associated google account and the user’s google account has to be connected to HuTouch

        • The Join Now link for a user’s active google meet call is sent to a user’s device, where the user connected their Google account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the Join Now link has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process)

      • Google Classroom:

        • HuTouch uses events or activities in Google Classroom to identify which class or course or course work or course materials or grades a user is currently active in
        • The Google classroom account should be connected with HuTouch to help identify such an event
        • HuTouch uses Google Classroom to retrieve a user’s active class or course or course work or course materials or grades a user is currently active in.
        • The event has to be on the user’s associated google account and the user’s google account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • The class or course or course work or course materials or grades a user is currently active in is sent to a user’s device, where the user connected their Google account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the information has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process).
      • Google Drive:

        • HuTouch looks for the most active doc within Google Drive
        • The Google drive should be associated to a google account and the google account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • HuTouch retrieves the link to most active Google doc in google drive
        • The link to google doc on google drive has to be on the user’s associated google account and the user’s google account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • The link to google doc on google drive a user is currently using is sent to a user’s device, where the user connected their Google account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the information has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process)
    • Microsoft Accounts:

      When you connect your Microsoft account with HuTouch, in order to provide you a unified user experience around Microsoft products across all your smart devices, we connect to your Microsoft account on Outlook and OneDrive. This is done only if and when you give us permissions to access these different accounts you use on Microsoft.

      • Microsoft Outlook Calendar:

        • HuTouch uses the Outlook Calendar to find out an event or Teams call for the user at a specific time or when a user locks the device or the device renders itself inactive while the user is on the call.

        • The event has to be on the user’s Outlook calendar for HuTouch to find and the calendar has to be associated to the Microsoft account a user used to connect with HuTouch.

        • HuTouch uses Outlook Calendar to retrieve a Join link for a user’s active Teams call.

        • The event has to be on the user’s associated Outlook calendar account and the user’s Microsoft account has to be connected to HuTouch

        • The Join link for a user’s active Teams call is sent to a user’s device, where the user connected their Microsoft account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the Join Now link has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process)

      • Microsoft Outlook Email:

        • HuTouch uses events or activities in Outlook to identify which email a user was drafting in Outlook
        • The Microsoft Outlook account should be connected with HuTouch to help identify such an event
        • HuTouch uses Microsoft account to retrieve a user’s active draft email.
        • The event has to be on the user’s associated Microsoft Outlook account and the user’s Microsoft account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • The draft email a user is currently active in is sent to the user’s device, where the user connected their Microsoft account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the information has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process).
      • Microsoft OneDrive:

        • HuTouch looks for the most active doc within OneDrive
        • The OneDrive account should be associated to a Microsoft account and the Microsoft account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • HuTouch retrieves the link to most active doc in OneDrive
        • The link to the doc on OneDrive has to be on the user’s associated Microsoft account and the user’s Microsoft account has to be connected to HuTouch
        • The link to the doc on OneDrive a user is currently using is sent to a user’s device, where the user connected their Microsoft account to HuTouch account. The device that receives the information has to be registered with HuTouch (through HuTouch login process).
    • Current Activity:

      When you install HuTouch on your devices and login, we look for the most current activity on your device a minute before you lock your device or when your device goes into an idle phase (device not used for at least a minute) or when you request HuTouch to look for the most current active foreground activity. This is done only if and when you give us permissions to access these different accounts you use on Microsoft. Once the most current activities are identified, the info is connected to your HuTouch account for your to access them on any HuTouch connected devices.

    • Wi-Fi connection information:

      We use your Wi-Fi connection to provide continuity of your content between your smart devices. We do not access your Wi-Fi connection information in our products or services.

    • Other:
      • Device information:

        We collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, unique device identifiers). Niiti may associate your device identifiers with your HuTouch Account.

      • Log information:

        When you use our services, we automatically collect the events in server logs using Google Analytics. This includes events like:

        • Initiate Continuity: When you initiate continuity on any type of data you have
        • Resume: When you resume your task on any smart device
        • Send files through HuTouch: When you use HuTouch to send files between devices
        • Login or Logout: When you login using HuTouch account or logout of HuTouch Applications
        • Subscribe to our products or services
      • Unique application numbers:

        We collect unique application numbers of the applications which use HuTouch products or services to better serve continuity and familiarity to you. This unique application number will be tied to your HuTouch account.

      • Miscellaneous:
        • run at startup
        • draw over other apps
        • use accounts on the device
        • control vibration
        • prevent device from sleeping
        • toggle sync on and off
      • Cookies and similar technologies:

        We and our partners use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit our sites, and this may include using cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. We also use these technologies to collect and store information when you interact with services we offer to our partners, such as ads. Google Analytics helps us analyze the traffic to our websites and apps. When used in conjunction with our partner’s advertising services, such as those using AdMob, Vdopia, Vungle, Google Analytics, information is linked, by Google, using Google technology, with information about visits to multiple sites.

  • We may use the name you provide for your HuTouch Profile across all of the services or products we offer that require a HuTouch Account. Other apps that support HuTouch will not have access to your HuTouch account.
  • We use the information we collect from all of our products or services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones, and to protect niiti and our users
  • When you contact niiti, we keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our products and services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
  • We use information collected from cookies, to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our products or services. One of the products we use to do this is Google Analytics.
  • We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.
  • Niiti processes personal information on our servers through Amazon Web Services in many countries around the world. We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live and all your data is secured through Amazon Web Service gateway.
Continuity from non-HuTouch apps

When you initiate continuity of a content to your HuTouch-enabled device, the application that you are using will have its own logging practices and policies with regard to user data. A unique identifier for your HuTouch device may be sent to the operator of that app for purposes of digital rights management (“DRM”). To learn more, please reference the privacy policies of the apps you are using.

For external processing:

We provide personal information to our affiliates or other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

For legal reasons:

We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of niiti if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of niiti, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
Information security:

We work hard to protect niiti and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:

  • We encrypt many of our services using SSL.
  • We offer password protected verification when you access your HuTouch Account.
  • We restrict access to personal information to niiti employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
When this Privacy Policy applies:

Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the products and services offered by niiti LLC but excludes services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites that may be displayed to you in search results, sites that may include niiti services, or other sites linked from our services. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our services, and who may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to serve and offer relevant ads.

Compliance and cooperation with regulatory authorities:

We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. We also adhere to several self regulatory frameworks, including the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

Changes:

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of privacy policy changes). We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.
